"Now, we're going to do a dry brush technique. A dry brush technique hardly uses any water at all. Just enough to make it flow onto the brush. And using the texture of the brush the dry brush technique can produce interesting striations and effects. You can use small brushes. Remember you don't hardly want any water on it at all. That's why they call it dry brush you see? Generally the hairs and fibers of the brush split up and you can do grass type techniques. You just want the tiniest amount of water in the brush and load the paint up into the brush and you can do grass techniques and other things."
