In the past, there was like around a dozen film cameras, so you could choose Pentax, Nikon, Canon, Minolta, Yashica, Exakta, Padika, and quite a few more. But digital cameras are now made by smaller companies, and they buy their optics elsewhere in a lot of cases. So not only do you have those camera makes, you have companies like Kodak, Panasonic, and all different makes and models. You have over a hundred different brands of cameras and the number of models is just endless, and every year they come out with a new model. So, how do you pick a camera? Well we're going to talk about just consumer cameras to start with."
