"In the beginning with digital cameras, they started out with large cameras that were good sized, and that would just take a third of a megapixel or less, and that was considered good. A third of a megapixel is roughly 640x480, which is what beginning computers started out as their video monitor screen resolution. And these were pretty good for that time, this was like ten, fifteen years ago. But as technology advanced, it started getting better and better, they got one megapixels, two, three, and they're now up to about twelve to sixteen megapixels for the pro cameras. The megapixels are basically a million pixels, and a million pixels seems like a lot, but it takes a lot of resolution in order to fill out a print of any size."
