"Chord structure of the bridge really kind of depends on what you're wanting to go for with the bridge. Like I said, oftentimes, what people will do, and especially in rock music for the bridge, is actually use maybe the chords of the verse and do a guitar solo over that. Or, the chords of the chorus and do a guitar solo over that. Or do the verse, just in a very different way and in a very different feel. So as you develop your chord structure, and that doesn't mean that you aren't, that you have to do something like that. You can come up with different chords and for the bridge chord structure you're going to want to do something, whether if the rest of your song is more in a major key, you're going to want to do something more minor. If the rest of your song is in more of a minor key, you're going to want to do something more major. The chords should be a transition. However, in the rock genre, a more common thing to do besides, apart from writing like the traditional bridge, is actually using either the verse chords or the chorus chords or some variation of that to have either a guitar solo or some type of riff over the top of that. Or, just a reversion back to the verse melody, and stuff like that, just put in a very different way. Because of that, typically our verse is (guitar demo) something like that but we're going to be going back and forth doing more of a hammer feel. Let's say, for the bridge, we have in our minds we know that the rest of the band is going to more drop out and just open up the chords or something like that. You have freedom in what you do, there are many different options for the bridge in rock music. However, it is an important element and the chords and the feel that you choose are really going to make a difference and matter within the general feel of the song."
