"The chord structure that you will find in a rock song's chorus. Depending on the theme of your song, and this is kind of what will change the feel of pretty much any of the sections of your song. So, depending on the theme of your song, that will kind of determine whether you want to go for a more of a major tone or more of a minor tone. Because we've had a minor tone for most of the song, for the verse and for the pre-chorus, it would be good to kind of change it up and maybe go up into a more major tone for your chorus. Especially if the theme is something like, where the verse truly is a statement of a problem and the chorus truly is a statement of a solution. It's good because the anticipation of, kind of, a minor feel and the hopelessness found in the verse will build up and it will be beautiful once you get to the chorus. Because then, finally, the listener is relieved in hearing that there is, in fact, some solution. And, this can happen even in a love song. A lot of the times, in rock songs, the verses are just, kind of, the hardships of love or missing somebody and finally the chorus gets to, OKay, now we're back together or we're going to pull through or something like that. So, let's talk about since we've already done a minor feel, we're going to do more of a major feel. (Playing demo) Something like that. It can be simple, it doesn't have to be confusing and, in fact, if you're going to try to come up with a good melody and something that people can sing to, it's almost better to be simple. But, I'm just going back and forth from one chord to the sixth chord and it comes up here, and it just really would be a good contrast to the rest of the song and really fit the theme that we're trying to go for in writing a rock song. So that is the chord structure."
