"Now that we've developed a lyrical structure for our verse and a chord structure for our verse, and we know our theme and what it's leading up to, let's put it together. This is an example of a verse and obviously, all rock songs are going to be different. All rock songs are going to sound different. But if you can stick with the themes and take some of the general principles of trying to stick to a theme, trying to have it be a theme that continues to work with your generation, trying to come up in at least that first, use four, use more of the four major, four more strong chords, and using a more simple rhyming pattern just as you start out. You're going to be able start to develop a really good ear for writing rock music. Here's an example. "Awake, dawn, the salma sings, with dawn we all reply. There's been no dawn since we were boys. No sun seen grace the sky. A loss of faith a lack of sight. Our fallen Gods to mourn. They're worn out roles as glue and thread to quiet sons of scorn." And there's an example of a verse in a rock song."
