Video Transcript

"Today we are going over some beginning ballet moves. Right now we are going on to rond de jambe. Rond de jambe is starting in fifth position. Hand is resting on your support system, bar, chair or dresser is up rounded to the side. We turn to front; the toes are going to draw a circle around to the side to the back. We slide through leading with the heel through and front. So facing to the side you see a tendu front, around to the side, turned out to the back hips are facing front. We lead through with the and front. You can also do it in reverse starting front, leading through first with the toe. To the back, bring it around to the front, lean back with the toe, around to the front. The whole time I want you to maintain on the tips of the toes, playing front tippy toe onto your big toe, the side of the big toe through and front. Your big toe is your pivotal point whether it be laying on the side, onto the top of it, onto the opposite and through. So that is your rond de jambe."
