" Hi there! My name is Connie Hale and thanks for joining me here at expertvillage.com. We are learning some beginner ballet moves and if you do have an interest in ballet or your daughter or son does, you can join us at Synergy Dance at Thousand Oaks in San Antonio. Our website is www.synergydance.com. We are going to go ahead and move on with some tendu's. I start tendu's from fifth position where the heel and toe kiss. Fifth position, hand is out and holding onto your support system, your bar, your chair, your dresser or whatever you prefer. Arm is up and rounded. Tendu simply pointing front and in; pointed front and in. Now tendu to the front, I want you to be sure that your leg is turned out so when you come forward you're leading with the heel and it comes back If I face to the side, you can see point front, onto the tips of the toes and in. Again to the front, we tendu front, leading with the heel and down. When we go to the side, it is outside just the tip of the toe touches and in. To the side and you can close to the back. To the side, close to the front to the side, close to the back and tendu to the back. I want you again lean just to the tip of the toe and in. Slide with the toes and out onto the tip of the big toe and in. Try not to turn the foot flat. You want to make sure that your knee is turned out pointing to the side and in. So again we have tendu front, front, front and closed the side, side, closed side and closed and to the back, back and closed and back and closed. You can pick up the speed with them and close faster; front side. I use this as a wonderful workout for your legs, tendus and also plea's are an excellent workout to do without the sweat. All right thanks. "

on 8/2/2008 Oh, my, oh my! These videos really helped me out a lot. I've been practicing these in my room ever since I found this link and I do plan on getting lessons. Thank you so much for setting these clips up for us. If I lived in San Antonio, I would definitely go to your school.
