on 8/2/2008 That's NOT a glissee of glissade. That's a chasse. The tour jete was okay, but work on not circling the leg around before they switch.

"Hello! My name is Connie Hale and thanks for joining me here at expertvillage.com. Today we are learning some lyrical and modern dancing. We are now moving on to what is called a glissade. Glissade is a little complex but it can be done and I am going to teach you how to do it. First let's break it down with a glissade. It is simply a chassee with a feet or a step together. See how the feet almost changed positioning on a floor. We are out, glissade. Let's try that again. Let's try that again. Glissade and out. So there is a lot of chaning places of feet. The glissade are feet. Change places, glissade and now we are going to kick this leg that we are stepping on here and it is then going to switch places with other leg up in the air. Let's watch first. We kick, kick, down. Let's break that down again. Here we go. What you are doing is actually keeping your chest and head up too. All right, we don't want none of this. Up, up, all right. Just look sloppy. Want to keep that head up, nice posture. I am going to go ahead and do this across sideways so you can see a different angle. Notice my how my arms come up with my legs. Going to do this one more time for you. Take a little more advanced. Legs are actually going to kick and switch places in the air. "
