Summary: Learn how to draw the middle plane of a 3-D drawing in this free video art lesson.
"We're going to do the same on the other side, so at this point meets, we've got a point here so the point's going to start here. We could draw it and you could, what I would suggest is actually drawing another plane, and well I should do that, draw another plane. So I've got this back plane, we've got the side plane, we're going to draw another plane here. So it's basically, what we're doing is actually creating this is how they would make models in the computer three-dimensionally. They would take a three part drawing like you would do in drafting. You would have a top view, a front view, a side view, and then with those three views you could actually just, on the three dimensional scale, like you could just draw them and put them all together nice and slowly. And this is exactly how they would do it in the computer. This is old school. So, like I said last time, if you're getting confused, wait until I execute it and then pause it and then do it yourself, so you're not getting lost. Alright. Now the middle of this guy, this is what we're looking for. I'm just kind of drawing in all the extra lines just so we know exactly what we're looking at here. OK. So this is the top of this guy. He's going to run parallel. The top of this guy as well. We'll slow down here for a minute just so people can kind of see what I'm doing. It probably doesn't help that I've got the drawing skewed. It's laying like, look at all these lines, what the heck am I doing with all these lines? But essentially, we've got here is if you can see it, and you start to train your eye, but we've got the box here, the middle plane, we've got the back box here and then we've got the new box which is between. So it's basically this middle plane, but now it's running this way."
