"In this clip we are going to talk about tuning the sympathetics, actually I am going to show you how to tune the sympathetics. Here I am turning on my electric tambura which is tuned to D. Then I take my sitar which is sitting on my lap and the row of sympathetics underneath everything has to be tuned every time you play and usually several times in between. So I am putting my thumb underneath the top row and I'm turning the pegs one by one going down the scale. In the beginning it is very easy to get mixed up but keep practicing."
