"Hi, my name is Dalton and we’re going to be talking about the different elements that make up a bass. The first and most important probably is the body, which is the wood right here. On the body, you have a bridge that holds the strings down on this side. You’ve got your pickups, which are these black things right here. The little knobs here which control the sound of the bass. You’ve got the volume, which makes the volume louder. Here’s another additional volume one. This one right here adjusts your lows in your bass. You can ear them going in and out. This one does the mids, and your final one does the highs. Usually, you’ll want to set those to where you like them on your bass. Once you get it plugged in you’ll usually realize that you prefer a different sound. Here are the four strings on the bass, and the strings lie on the neck. The neck is usually a lot thicker than on a guitar, so the fingering is a lot more strenuous on your hands; you have to stretch a lot more. The strings end right up here on the head of the bass. They go to the correct tuner so you can tune the strings. And with all those together, you have a bass. "
