"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Dan Head. And, today we're going to talk about how to self publish your own comic or graphic novel. For the beginning comic creator, the convention scene is the lifeblood for how you're going to get the word out there. Conventions are great because that's where hardcore, and even not so hardcore, fans come to discover new things. When you're on the floor of the convention, and you get table, you get your booth. You want to make sure that you have a nice backdrop, something colorful and big that people are going to see from a long way away, and know to come and get your booth. And then, you want to make sure that your book isn't the only thing you're selling. If you've got posters, or postcards, or any sort of giveaway, even little one dollar ashcans, those are great. Cause if your book costs three dollars, but it cost you a dollar seventy-five to print versus you can put together a poster for say twenty-five cents and sell it for a dollar. That's how you make money at the conventions. "
