on 10/23/2008 Hi,

First of all, thank you for all that you do for music. I noticed you have some great lessons here. I just launched a new social space called MusicianMatch.com for musicians, bands, fans, and music industry professionals. Would you please consider creating a FREE Music Industry Professional (MIP) profile and upload your videos to advertise/offer/sell your services to our members? On MusicianMatch.com, we have some great, young, raw talent that will need some direction from someone with your skills.

Of course, you can also register a second musician profile (or just use the MIP profile for everything) and network with our musicians to make music and/or enter our Best Internet Musician contest for up to $500 in Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals, Keys/Piano, and Turntables. Would you please stop by and tell me what you think? Here is one of our MIP profiles, http://www.musicianmatch.com/woodshed . Thanks for your time....

on 8/2/2008 Hi Dan, just thought you might want to know that "Moog" is pronounced "M-oh-g" (rhymes with "vogue" or "rogue"). Dr. Moog pronounced it that way himself, so out of respect we probably ought not alter his preferred pronunciation of his name. :-)

Nice series you got here... What other gear do you own? Interested in selling any of it?

"My name is Dan Rapport. Today we are going to be talking about analog synthesizers. Two performance controls of the analog synthesizers and usually found on most analog synthesizers are the pitch bend wheel and the modulation wheel. The pitch bend obviously controls the pitch of the oscillators as we will hear an example of, and this particular keyboard can be controlled to go up a minor third, major third, up an octave, up two octaves, down two octaves, really whatever you want. The other control is the modulation wheel, which controls the settings in the modulation busses. In this case we have a sine wave LFO. "
