"Now that we have our guitar in position, we need to figure out how to play the strings. We use our right hand if we're right handed and our left hand if we're left handed to pluck the strings right above the sound hole here. Now, we can either use our thumbs, for now, while we're playing single notes. You might want to use our pinky right here and put that on the pick guard, right here for support, or we can use a pick. A pick is shaped like this. It will be held between your thumb and your first finger. We can still use this fourth finger on your right hand on the pick guard. You get a little bit of a brighter sound in comparison. One of the dangers of having a pick though is it can accidentally drop into the sound hole. This requires getting it out. I've had this trouble many times before. You get a technique on it. You hold it up like this and then just shake it, until it comes out on top. Make sure you support the guitar so that nothing falls. Voila!"
