"We will now look at the components of an acoustic guitar. So, we have three main parts of an acoustic guitar. This is the body. This is the neck and this is the head. On the body, we have the bridge. This is where your strings (we have 6 strings) and this is where the strings begin. Okay, we have a pick guard. If you're using a pick this will keep your body from getting too scratched up. That won't do too much if you play enough. This is your neck, and on the front of the neck is your finger board here, or your fret board rather. These are frets running along vertical to the ground when we play. The strings come across the neck and they culminate on the tuning pegs of the head. The tuning pegs are turned this way in order to tune the guitar in different methods. This is the layout of almost every acoustic guitar you will ever see."
