"Hi! I am Cass Naumann and on behalf of expertvillage.com. We are talking about exercising the voice. So we are going to talk about the importance of keeping your throat and your sinus cavity hydrated. I have two very important tools here with me that I would like to show you. One of them is throat coat. You can use any type of herbal warm tea. It is the warmth of the heat in this tea and that is going to help. But this particular brand of throat coat has licorice and keeps your vocal chords hydrated. So you can drink wine 2-3 cups a day particularly before performance or a recording session, so keep the throat hydrated and coat it for an hour or two. Something else you can do if you are susceptible to allergies or sinus infections is to use a nutty pot, you are going to fill up with salts and with water and over the same kind of shower and you use the tip and you pour it into the sinus cavity and you let it drain out the other side and saltwater helps to cleanse and detoxify the sinus cavity and drain out all the fluids."
