"I'm Dr. Charles Grimes. And I'm speaking on behalf of Expert Village about how to deal with the day of your theatrical audition. Let's think also about some tongue twisters that you might want to play around with before you go up on stage. It's very easy to blow a monologue by not speaking clearly. And the stress and adrenaline may cause you not to form words as carefully, as fully as you do when you've been rehearsing. So, I came up with some tongue twisters to show you. And you know some will even have your own. One of my favorites is eleven benevolent elephants. And you repeat these. You say them a lot. You say them faster. You say them slower. You say them bigger, smaller. Eleven benevolent elephants. You see, I messed up already. That's why you have to practice. Unique New York. Unique New York. Unique New York. Et cetera. Red leather, yellow leather. Red leather yellow leather. Do it nice and fast. Sheena leads, Sheila needs. Elizabeth's birthday is on the third Thursday of this month. Tea time is at a quarter of two till two. So those are some very simple warm-up exercises and tongue twisters. You're going to warm-up your mouth, your vocal apparatus. And you're going to make sure that physically you're in tune with all of the energy that you put into this rehearsal."
