How to Make Large Terracotta Sculptures

"Hi, I am Chitrotpola Mukherjee, speaking on behalf of Expert Village. I am from India. We have been showing you smaller sculpture, but today I want to show you large size sculptures. This sculpture is a life size piece. It depicts a girl, with a bird on her shoulder. This sculpture would be lovely in a garden. The quality of this sculpture is different, in that it is very heavy, almost as if it were carved out of stone. It will not damage easily. It is still terracotta just a different variety. On my right is the head of a lion. This sculpture will be a part of the Puja festivities. This head will later form part of the full paraphernalia on the Durga podium. All the pieces there will be arranged and decorated. I think I have given you a good idea that you can make any size terracotta sculpture that you like. You can start with smaller pieces and go up to big pieces. Terracotta is versatile and you can do a lot of things with it. Thank you."
