So the next merengue step that we want to show you, it actually starts in open position. And I'll show you the step, it goes one, two, three, four, starts with a little bit of an open break, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four. So, you start just with a basic merengue step and what I'm doing is I'm using the one. Often in a lot of Latin music, there's accents on the one and on the five. So if you want to keep good time, on seven, eight, you're going to push your partner out a little bit. I'm using the back side of my hand to push against her palm to let her know to go back. And I'm going back forward and forward on the very next merengue step. So, she's stepping back on her right on one, I'm stepping back on my left. We're going one, two and then the rest of the eight count, we just palm the palm, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Notice on eight, I'm pushing again on the palm. So we can go, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Watch the change of my hands. We're palm the palm as we're coming closer. We start to separate and my hands from there, they just go right under and you end in the open position again. So, to smooth it out, five, six, seven, goes to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, push eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight and one, two, three, four, five, six, last time, and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
