"So for this finger exercise, I'm going to be playing four notes per string, and then moving onto the next string. It's another chromatic finger exercise. The idea behind this one is that you want to leave your fingers...essentially like you're playing the first note with your index finger, your second note with your middle finger, your third note with your ring finger and your fourth note with your pinky, which is kind of axiomatic to a guitar player because you want to be in position where you can play efficiently. So you don't want to be playing this note, this F with your index finger and then playing your F Sharp with your pinky. The logical step is to play an F with your index in this case, and then play your F Sharp with your middle finger."
