"BRIAN MONTGOMERY: Okay. So we're going to get ready to cut the vocal track here. Again, we'll XLR into track three, which is on the left, so input into the left, input in the back of the machine there and go ahead and switch that to the left there. What I am going to do for the vocals, I'm going to unplug our external monitors and actually monitor everything through headphones. That way the vocal microphone won't pick up the noise coming out of the monitors. So we're trying to keep everything, all the tracks, separate again. So it's pretty much the same, same as if you're just listening through the monitors, except you're going to be listening to it through, through headphones. And once you got all the switches and everything set and ready to go, we can get our levels and record the track."
