"BRIAN MONTGOMERY: All right, so we got our bass here. First thing we want to do is go ahead and monitor this, get our level set, hit that switch for the monitor, kind of bring that up a little bit and we're already in the mode there for the guitar so [PLUCKS BASS]. We're kind of not really getting much on the indicator because I've still got the trim in the back all the way down, so we're slowly going to bring that up and again, we're just, we're watching the dB levels there, finally get it up towards just finally hitting into that +3 at the loudest point [PLUCKS BASS]. So right there, it's sounding pretty good, so once you got the level set, you can get ready to cut the bass track."
