"BRYAN BILLHIMER: Okay. In this next clip, we're going to talk about hammer-ons. And in our notation, this is what a hammer-on is going to look like. Again, it's a tie. It's kind of the offset of a pull off. We're going to start on the 15th fret and we're going to hammer a finger down on the 17th fret. We're just picking the first note. Again, we have the tie tying the two notes together. And sometimes on a hammer on, it will be notated with an H above the tie. So, here's what a hammer-on looks like. We have 15th fret on the B string, I'm going to use my index finger, we're going to pick that note and then hammer down with our third finger on the 17th fret. So, it's just one pick with our right hand and then we hammer down with our third finger and that's a hammer-on. And you definitely want to make sure that you're using the tip of your finger. That's going to give you the cleanest sound. And that's how you do a hammer-on."
