"We're going to be making a flip book today and there are a few simple materials that you need for this. First you'll need a couple of pencils; any kind will do, hard or soft it's up to you. A rubber eraser, some 5x8 index cards with a blank side, at least one blank side. And a large binder clip. Next you'll need some sort of light source; we're going to be doing some tracing. For flip books, it's pretty easy; you have a whole bunch of choices. The first idea would a light box like the one here, this is specialized for animation, but you don't have to have specialized equipment for this. You can use just a regular light table that you might find in a photography facility. Or you can even just find a window with adequate lighting so that you can see through paper."
