"Welcome back to Expert Village! Our next tip on how to be a great Karaoke host is also about helping the singer be comfortable. Don't let the singer struggle with a key that is obviously uncomfortable for them. You can see it on their face, their eyes cross they start to twitch or look really unhappy, so stop the song, ask them would you like a key change, do you want the key higher or lower? This you have to use your own good judgment. It is true that some singers will not appreciate your interfering but by in large in my experience, over fifteen years of running Karaoke shows they usually appreciate your expertise in finding the right key. No one wants to sing a song that makes them look like a fool."
