"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Carolyn Travisano and I'm here to tell you about painting on feathers. Okay, we're at our final stage of feather painting. After you've signed your name and dated, you're basically going to use. Krylon is the artist medium that I use for any type of spray finish or lacar. It's a matte finish. I explained earlier about using matte rather than a gloss. It just makes it more natural to the feather and it looks like the painting is more apart of the feather than sitting on top of the feather like a sticker or decal will be. You're just using a matte spray over top of it. You want to step back quite a few inches from it. You don't want to get up on top of it with the spray because if you put too much of the spray on it and it's too thick, it'll actually create a very glossy affect even those it's matte. See how much better that is? Wow."
