"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Carolyn Travisano and I am here to tell you about painting on feathers. Okay so let's start with going through my paints and brushes, different things that I use. I mentioned earlier for the quill of the pen I use paint markers and these are great they are a nice enamel base, fine tip so you can get more style and design out of it. As far as the brushes you'll need different brushes for different stages of the design. When I start laying down the initial design I use a thicker brush, a wider brush that holds more paint, something along these lines here just to basically lay down the backdrop or the under painting of the feather. Now when you start doing getting into the feather and adding details to it as far as the eyes, the hair different things like that, I use extremely extremely fine tipped brushes and they are 101 in the style and the bristle I guess basically of each one. So we use a very very thin brushes there so we can get lots of detail. And through out the, as you're getting to know the feather and working on the feather you will get to know what brushes work best for you. For me I love using the fine tip ones. "
