"CASEY CORMIER: Okay. So if you're playing the typical double bass, this is going to have the string E, A, D and G here. You're going to be plucking with your right hand. So you're going to situate your body against the right side of the bass here. And you wan to basically, the goal is, to have it leaned so that you don't even have to touch anything, and I'm supposed to be supporting the neck and all with this hand. Then you create a C like we did with our electric bass; remember, C with your left hand, okay? That's going to curve around here and going to be over the board. It's very important to have your wrist bent and your elbow up back here. See, I still trying to keep these arches on my fingers. So that's going to be something important. For right hand, we're going to pluck, and area where we pluck, either with fingers like this or this which will discuss in a second, the difference is, we want to pluck in this area. So these where our hands will be positioned, okay? So try set yourself up and after this and similar to this with your upright or double bass."
