"CASEY CORMIER: Let's try playing a little bit of this okay. Okay, so that first note is a B flat, C, B flat, G, F, E flat, okay? So let's look at our guitar. So this is--let's find the B flat. This is a B flat okay. We have G, A, and there's a B flat and we're going to play C next. B flat C, B, and then G. then, we have F, and E flat on the D string 3rd fret [INDISCERNIBLE] and we try to tap our foot along, one, two, three, four, boom! So note that we started on up beat of one, one-and, two-and, three-and, four-and, one-and, two-and, three-and, four-and. And we end up. Okay? Next, we'll have a D flat. And then we'll play the octave of that D flat, but the D flat is not part of the key signature that's why the flat was in there. So, back to the guitar, D flat, D. So this is how we'll read a melody like this in this position, figuring things out first melodically then rhythmically."
