"Let us take a closer look now at the Phrygian mode. The Phrygian mode is a rarely used in soloing but it can be for added effects and flavors, so if we start Phrygian A, you have A, B flat, C, D, E, F, G, and A again. So notice, in contrast with our natural minor, our second degree of the scale is flat. So instead of moving down here in our shape, we use our fourth finger to play the eighth fret. So watch, five, six, eight, five, seven, eight, five, seven, eight, five, seven, five, six, eight, five. So think of your natural minor with a flat second scale degree. This would also denote us being in the key of F major."
