"All right, let's take a closer look at out Dorian mode. Our Dorian mode is a minor mode. It's a minor scale, but it's different than our natural minor scale. So let's say we were going to play a Dorian A scale. You start; the first finger on the fifth fret of the low e string; which is A. Fifth, seventh, eighth, fifth, seventh; drop your first finger down; fourth, fifth, seventh, fourth, fifth, seventh. Now fifth, seventh, eighth, fifth. Now, this is contrasting with the regular natural minor scale. We go to the F sharp, instead of the regular F. The C major is not our relative major. Our major; which key we would be in; would actually be the G major; where our one would be. So remember, one; the Dorian is our second mode, so if we were playing in G major; to play a round on the Dorian would be playing the same as playing a round on the G major scale."
