"Now for our next Seventh Chord we're going to make the D7 Chord. First we'll start off with a D Major so we can see the differences. So remember for the D Major we're playing the A with our first finger on the G String, the D on the B String, third fret and our second finger plays the F Sharp on the high E o.k. Now this is still a Major chord we still want to keep that F Sharp but we don't need this D octave now. All we need is a C. So you notice we will have to change our fingering. Well, let's put our second finger on top now for the A. Now our first finger can play C and our second finger can play the F Sharp. You can start strumming on the open D. O.k. Notice that in the same similar way as D Minor our second finger is on top for this one. So really D Major is the only one of the three types of D Chords we know so far where our first finger is on top. Now the D7 wants to lead to the G Major. This is the 5-7 that wants to lead to a 1. The G Major will be our 1. So try switching from the D7, starting our strum on the D String and the G Major and see what you hear."
