Video Transcript

"We are learning about stop motion animation. Now that we have everything that we need to make a movie, we are going to learn how to animate our characters. As you can see, our camera is here and our figure here is up against the green scream, so I am going to want to put in starting position and once I like my composition and I like where the character is in the starting position, I am going to go ahead and capture that video onto my computer and that will be our first frame of our animation. Once you've captured a few frames onto your computer, you can play those back and you will see how your characters come to life. We've sat here for a minute and we've moved the character frame by frame creating a illusion of movement. This illusion of movement is pretty much your entire movie. If you make a lot of small movements and play at a high frame rate, you can have a much smoother animation but of course, it will take you a lot longer. Now you can make some adjustments of your frame rate in post production but you also want to have that in mind when making the animation in the first place."
