"Now I'm going to go ahead and pick it up a little bit because a lot of people realize that they are popular with Latin bands. So I'm going to give you a rough idea as to what it might sound like or feel like with the tempo a little bit higher up. That's a little tiny bit of what a Latin percussion type bongo sound would be like, but you have to really follow your heart, use your imagination and listen to a lot of records. Listen to a lot of music, find where the beat is. Like I said it's going to be either on a one and a two, or a one, two, three, four. We're going to go ahead and take a little tiny break, then play along with some music."

There was talk of how it's played in latin music but no basic martillo? the bongos are also played in between the legs not on your lap or they can be put on stands for multi percussion settings. This is no expert on bongos not trying to be rude just stating the obvious.
