"Hey this is DJ Brady again on behalf of ExpertVillage.com. In this clip, we’re going to talk about cueing your song. Starting on the first beat of a measure, or the down beat is an essential part of beat mixing. Some songs might start with a down beat; others might start off with just some instruments. I like to start with the first beat of the first measure. So we’ll scrub through here by pausing and we’ll go through until we here the first beat, there it was. Now I can back up or move forward to adjust and find the down beat. Once I’ve found the down beat I can set my cue point. When I’m ready to begin beat mixing, I will start with the down beat and if I feel like I need to make an adjustment, I can either do so and then start over if I want to restart it. The dannon cd player has a couple of ways to do the pitch bend function. You can either use the buttons here, to speed up or slow down, or you can use the jog wheel. "
