"Hi! I am Brandon Nowasky and on behalf of Expert Village.com I am going to show you more on card tricks. We are actually going to do a trick this time. Just have someone select a card; say the card is the eight of Spades. Take the card, stick in the middle of the deck, square it up, and give the deck a little cut. Now what I am going to do is I am going to go through and I am going to find my two detectives that are going to help me find the card. Got my two detectives right there, the jack of spades and jack clubs, put one on top and one on bottom. Now watch they are going to the deck and find the card. Just like that they found one card, the eight of Spades. I will show you how to do that. We use the methods I showed earlier. Have someone select a card, you take the card, stick it in the deck, and get that break. This time you are going to get the break underneath the card. Get the break underneath the card, do a couple of cuts to take their card to the bottom of the deck. Without showing them you want to go through and find the two jacks. Now you are going to take the two jacks, put one on top and one on bottom. You want to make sure on the bottom you are going to grip it, so that your fingers touch both cards. That way when you throw them out the whole deck falls out except for the selected cards and the two jacks and that is the two detectives. "

on 8/2/2008 You know, towards the end I heard something that suspiciously sounded like the Mudvayne ringtone for Dig going off. I had it as my ring tone for such a long time and it brought back some memories.

on 3/22/2009 another variation is using the key card technique, and when your finding your detectives, quietly sneak the helpers card to the front of the face card and place your detectives one on top and the other on the bottom! no tricky pinky breaks or false shuffles!!
