"Now that you've learned the mechanics of the double bump, let's try it to some different tempos. Let's start with our feet slightly apart and our knees are soft. Our bellybuttons are pulled in, lift the chest and relax the shoulders. Now we're going to start nice and slow. And remember the hip movement is up towards your ribcage, not pushing it out. You don't want to put a lot of pressure on your hipbone to get it, the joint, to make it go out to the side. You're thinking more up. So you're going to bend the knees slightly on whichever hip that you're accenting. So let's go, one and two, hold. Three and four, hold. One, two three, hold. One, two, three, hold. One, two, three. Hold it up. Up and up. Up and up. Up and up. A little faster. Up, up, up, up, up. This is a nice way to prepare yourself for learning a three quarter shimmy. Up, up. Make sure you have the control. Make sure your shoulders are still. Keep that bellybutton against your spine. Keep your head nice and relaxed, and smile. Practice this in the mirror. Make sure you've got all of the parts in the right place."
