"In the reverse wrist wave, our wrists are going to act in opposition with each other. So first let's practice one hand. And you want to think about letting your wrist move up and down keeping the fingers isolated and in place. What tends to happen is people tend to do this; this is not a wrist wave, this is just a wave. So anchor your fingers to the palm of the other hand and practice pumping with the wrist up and down, o.k. So the wrist is leading the movement up and down, up and down; good. Try the other hand; up and down, up and down; anchoring those finger tips in place. Hands in front of us. Now let's think wrists apart and wrists together. Now again don't let the finger tips flop back and forth; the finger tips stay anchored and the wrists move back and forth. You can also try this against a wall, set your hands against a wall to keep those finger tips in place. Once you've got that wrist movement down, you can take this movement with the wrist leading and use it to frame some of your body movements. You can bring it up over your head and back down, alright. Practice in front of a mirror so you get it nice and smooth before you take it into performance."
