"Window arms has its origin in the folkloric styling. We're going to begin by having our feet; I'm actually going to stand sideways to the camera; we're going to have our feet slightly apart, our knees are soft, our belly button is going to be pulled into our spine, chest is lifted, shoulders are relaxed and down. Extend one arm out in front of you, so that it's level with your shoulder. Make sure the fingers are nice and light. Now we're going to bend at the elbow. And now bend the wrist until the fingertips touch the top of your head lightly. You may need to lift your elbow just a little bit, but make sure the shoulder stays down so you don't crunch up this nice, long look, here. So we're going to peek through our little window at our audience. Now the other arm is going to come up at a 45-degree angle, and the fingers are going to point away from you, creating this little space and illusion. Now this movement, you can either look straight through, you can look behind you, or even down, depending on where you're wanting to accent your movement. And then you can also close your window, by bringing the hand and kind of bringing the thumbs so they're touching each other, but make sure that elbow stays forward and the shoulder is down and you peek through. This is a really good one to practice in the mirror to make sure you've got your positioning just right."
