"Rolling arms is a nice way to create a different depth to your dance. It can be used either while you're standing, you can use it as a moving, traveling accent. Let's begin by putting our arm across our chest. You don't want it up here, in front of your face, but just here, across your rib cage. Make sure the elbow is up and out and that your forearm is parallel to your body. Now we're going to take the other arm and put it on top. So it's going to stay right here, right above each other. Make sure the fingers are nice and light and graceful-looking. And we're going to just circle them around each other, like this. Make sure that your posture is in a good position that your feet are separated slightly, your knees are soft, and your belly button is pulled into your spine. Lift that chest, so you have a nice energetic and lifted look. This is nice to accent a head movement, or you can do a level change with it. And you can go the other direction, as well, depending on which way is comfortable for you. But it's a nice way to have a little pause or different accent in your dance. Practice that in the mirror to make sure you've got your arms in the correct position."
