"Ibis arms is a great way to frame your body. Let's begin by having our feet slightly apart. Our knees soft. Our belly pulled in toward our spine. Our chest lifted. Our shoulders relaxed and down. Let's start with one arm. Bring it out from your body. Pretend there's a beach ball between your side and your elbow so that you don't end up getting it too close to your body. You want it to claim your space around you. So let's have the elbow out. The arm is, the forearm is going to be about a forty-five degree angle so that when you're looking straight ahead, you can see it in your periphery. The wrist is not going to be bent but the direction is going to shoot right off your forearm and to your middle finger. Make sure the thumb is tucked in nicely and the fingers are relaxed. Now let's bring the other arm up and match it, and they're going to point out and away from you. So this is what we would call a high ibis arm movement. And this is nice just for framing any other thing that you might be doing. Now we can take this movement and lower it down. And we're just going to straighten the elbow slightly. So now the focus is by your hips. So that you can bring the eye of the audience and direct them to where you want them to see your movements. So practice this in the mirror so that you can see what your body is doing."
