"This arm movement we call "sunrise and sunset". It can be used alone, as an arm movement without any body movement, or you can combine it with body movement at the same time. The arms are basically coming from your sides up over your head. But first, you want to make sure that your knees are bent, your belly button is pulled in, your chest is lifted, and your shoulders are back and down. As we lift our arms, don't lift from the shoulder. Keep the shoulder blades pulling down. Shoulder blades are pulling down, arms come up over the head. Good. Keep the belly button pulled in. And arms are going to come back down. It's like you're standing inside of a bubble, and your fingertips are brushing the edges. All the way up and all the way down. You don't want a stiff arm, so keep the elbows slightly relaxed, but not so relaxed that you're gimping up on us. Up. Now as a variation, you can flip, and now the palms are up. Same thing, we can rise with palms up, and flip around and push down for the sunset. And again, we can do them by themselves or with another movement layered on top of it."
