In this arm position the arms actually do block the body. Often we want to make sure our arms are out away from our body leaving space for our movements. But this one we're actually going to bring our hands on top of each other in front of the body. Now you want to make sure your elbows are shoulder level, o.k... This is not the move; this is the move. Make sure it's shoulder level and it?s not blocking your face or blocking your chin. And your arms are nice and straight resting nice and gently on top of each other. This is a great move to frame anything that your hips are doing, anything your heads doing. And we call this genie arms. From here we can turn it to the side; make sure your shoulders still pull down your back, K. Side to side traveling, you can travel with it; you can move around with it. And then bring the arms back out away from the body. So often we don't have the arms in front of our body but when we do we want to make sure the elbows are not close in, that there away and getting a nice space around the body. So here you are with genie arms.
