"Hi, I'm Austin McBride here on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you how to choose the right piano for what kind of music you're trying to play. The piano that I'm playing right here is a nice grand piano, it is 88 keys, obviously, and it is probably best used for classical. However, it does alright with some moody jazz, some darker feeling jazz. Certainly different pianos have different feels. If you're going for a brighter rock and roll type sound, perhaps an upright piano would be a better decision. And if you're planning on touring or playing with this music, I would definitely recommend using an electric, or something that can be more easily transported. Even within those electronic ones, there are a different kinds of keyboards. I would definitely recommend using one that has weighted keys, that'll give you more true feel to a piano. And there's a basic introduction to different kinds of pianos and keyboards."
