Depending on what kind of music an artist is doing, whether it be pop, rock, rap, hard rock, jazz, blues or whatever, it is very important to figure out what kind of a label is right for you. because you are not going to get interest from a blues label if you are doing hard rock and roll. You are not going to get interest from a India label if you are doing top forty pop music. In order to get interest, you need to be able to show case your talents to the right prop of people. You got to have the kinds of label that understands what you are doing. It is a very expensive commitment to do pop music because it needs be driven by the radio.
