"BEN ANDERSON: Hi. I'm Ben Anderson with Expert Village, and today I'm going to be talking to you about setting up your multi rig. The very first thing that you're going to need to do when setting up your multi rig is first you're going to need your keyboard stand. That is of utmost importance 'cause without it, you're not going to have anywhere to set any of your equipment on top of. So it's always important to set it up in a good comfortable height for your playing position, for what you need. Once that is set up, the next thing to do would then to be get out your keyboard or your synthesizer that you're going to be using and to then place it on top of your keyboard stand and make sure it's securely fastened. On the keyboard stand, you will see there are these little plastic strips that you can use and you can adjust where they are. There are two on the back on each side and two in the front as well. And by pushing them together, you can hold and lock your keyboard into a really tight position to make sure that it's not going to move while you're playing. Once that is done, the next important step is then to get out all the necessary cables you're going to need; this includes your power supply as well as your sustain pedals that you're going to need and your 1/4-inch cables that going to be plugged into an amplifier or into a direct input box. Then after having plugged in those cables, the important thing is then test them, make sure that you have power to the keyboards; that is always important. You don't want to start playing a show without realizing you have no power. So then once all of those requirements are met, then it's important to test your sound and to make sure that everything sounds right and that you're getting sound out of the amplifier or out of the PA system that you're playing into and once those are set, the last important step is to make sure that you're comfortable in the position that you're playing right now and to make any minor adjustments that would help you and make you more comfortable in your performance setting."
