On behalf of Expert Village, I am Benjamin Ford Asriel. I'm with Dance Lab NYC here at Stepping Out Studios, and today we'll be talking about post-modern dance. So, I'm just going to show some movement that I have made for one of my pieces, as an example of something someone might make from the study of their own body. It begins, literally, by walking, so it's just a walking study, and then as I move the weight to my right hand, I'm going to accentuate the swing of my arms. So, I'm going to accentuate the swing, displacing my pelvis forward, and then I'm going to trace a circle with my left foot and with my right fingertips. From here, I'm kind of suspended over my foot. I'm going to allow my knee to break, and then I'm going to allow my head to fall back, in order to capture my movement. So, once again, just to see that...Moving weight to the right, circle knee, swing, head, lunge, then I'm just gathering my weight here, to continue on, so, this one movement has a lot of ideas behind it. Movement in the pelvis, the idea of the ionosphere in space, and the idea of the head being the shared point.
