"On behalf of expert village, I am Benjamin Ford Asriel. Um, I'm with Dance Lab NYC here at Stepping Out Studios, and today we'll be talking about post-modern dance. So, other things that one could continue to study in walking are the movement in the pelvis. Um, are you someone who holds your pelvis still? Are you someone who allows your hips to really move from side-to-side? And, if you are allowing your hips to move from side-to-side, is that kind-of a reverberation in your spine? Um, does it affect where the weight is in your feet? And, once you're aware of all these things, can you control those parameters? Can you use, knowing that if I'm going to have weight on my right foot, and only my right foot, maybe allowing my hips to move to the right is going to help me keep my balance. If I'm going to shift to my left foot, moving my hips to the left is going to help me keep my balance. If I move my hips to the right, you can see I have a hard time, which is also kind-of useful. Um, so, from studying walking, I can learn to hold a position more easily."
