"On behalf of Expert Village, I am Benjamin Ford Asriel and I'm with Dance Lab NYC here at Stepping Out Studios and today we'll be talking about post modern dance. So something that might concern you is dealing with your feet and knees on the floor. And the truth of the matter is, most dancers, like I have calluses on my knees and on the tops of my feet from doing it a lot. But there, that's often, actually from mistakes. So, ideally, you would keep the weight on one side long enough to gently move it to another part of your body. And even if you're sliding around, like when I am doing things like that, I'm almost always taking all the weight into my hands so that I can just push my body around lightly. It's not always possible and it requires strength and a lot of practice to do it safely. So, please, if you're going to try this, be careful."
